An official asked Jesus, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God.”
The LORD said, “I will let all my goodness pass in front of you, and there I will call out my name ‘the LORD.’ I will be kind to anyone I want to. I will be merciful to anyone I want to.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my rebellious ways. Remember me, O LORD, in keeping with your mercy and your goodness.
I believe that I will see the goodness of the LORD in this world of the living.
Your flock settled there. Out of your goodness, O God, you provided for oppressed people.
O LORD Almighty, deal with me out of the goodness of your name. Rescue me because of your mercy.
They will announce what they remember of your great goodness, and they will joyfully sing about your righteousness.
They experienced the goodness of God’s word and the powers of the world to come.
All goodness comes from God, only He is good. If there is any goodness in you, thank Him.
